Personal data means any information capable of identifying an individual. It does not include anonymized data.

Communication Data – Any communication that you send to me whether that be through the contact forms on this website, through email, social media messaging, social media posting or any other communication that you send me. This data is processed for the purposes of communicating with you and for record keeping.

Customer data – Data relating to any purchases of services such as your name, email address, contact details, purchase details and your card details. This data is processed to supply the services you have purchased and to keep records of such transactions.

User data – Data about how you use my website and services. I process this data to operate this website and ensure relevant content is provided to you and to ensure the security of the website.

Technical Data – It may include your browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this site.

Profile Data – Purchases or orders, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

Marketing Data – It may include your preferences in receiving marketing communications from me and third parties and your communication preferences.

Opt In Data – Name and email address you use to opt in to my email newsletter or sign up for a freebie. I process this data to send you emails about book formatting and send you occasional promotions and special offers.

I do not collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. I do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offenses. I do not carry out automated decision making or any type of automated profiling.

2. How I collect your personal data

I collect data about you through a variety of different methods including:

Direct interactions – You may provide data by filling in forms on my site or by communicating with me by phone, email or otherwise, including when you order services, subscribe to my service or publications, request resources or marketing be sent to you, enter a competition, prize draw, promotion or survey, and give me feedback.

Automated technologies or interactions – As you use my site, I may automatically collect Technical Data about your equipment, browsing actions and usage patterns. I collect this data by using cookies, server logs and similar technologies.

Under no circumstances is your data ever sold or rented to a third party.

Regardless of the device you use to access the site, it will also collect information you provide, as well as information about your interaction with the site and its content. If location services are activated on your mobile device, my site may collect information about the location of your device. Your mobile network service providers may collect device-specific information, such as a device identifier, when you use my website. This information collected by your mobile network service will not be associated with your personally identifiable information.

I will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

By law I must keep basic information about my customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for tax purposes.

Under data protection laws you have rights in relation to your personal data that include the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and to withdraw consent.

I try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take me longer than a month if your request is particularly complex, or you have made several requests. In this case, I will notify you and keep you updated.

If you are not happy with any aspect of how I collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority at any time. If you have a complaint I would be grateful if you could contact me first, so that I can try to resolve it for you!
